Maya had taken the hour long train ride into the city that she grew up in. It was like going back to visit your old school- you found everything left the same as you left it but somehow different. Maya loved to explore her familiar stomping grounds. She went up to 5th Ave, then to Chinatown. There were so many things she missed about NYC, but then she hated the crowdedness and how everyone alway bumped into her.
It was getting dark by the time Maya made her way to Central Park. There were many nights that she would just come here after school and before she wanted to go home. It was a familiar comfort to her. Maya was so wrapped up in her memories that she didn't realize someone snatch her purse and sprint off a few paces ahead of her.
"Hey!" she shouted with as much force she could. The black clad thief didn't even turn around as he ran away. Now Maya wanted to get that bag back. It was her life in there, her IDs, her train ticket back to Boston, and her money. Without it she was stranded. Maya thanked the gods that she wore her combat boots she wore in the training room and sprinted off to tackle her thief. Her assailant looked behind him and looked at her with a crazed expression.
"You're one crazy bitch!" he swore at her, but Echo didn't pay attention to what he was saying because the tall Native American girl had tackled him to the grass, in the middle of Central Park.

"Always early and the last one out! You work yourself hard boy and you did just got off of vacation a few days early, you don't have to work right now." The store manager called out. "You must have a girl waiting for you at home huh?" The man laughed as he joked.
"Yea, I have to make some mone right? If not I won't be able to feed myself. That as a vacation would really be...Unpleasureable." He said with a grin on his face. He kept the grin on his face hiding the fact that he didn't have many relations with girls. In fact he was so busy working and trying to keep up with deadlines. He didn't know many girls. "No." He stated softly. Then laughed so the manager would worry, or worst pity him. He hated pity more than anything else.
With a little more small talk, the young mutant finished packing up. They said their goodbyes and he left. This was a rountine day for him, but tonight was going to be different. He missed the last transport home, he had to talk. He rubbed his neck and let out a groan. "How troublesome." He said silently as he made his way home. In his mind complaining to himself to pass the time as he walked.
Finally, he was close to home all he need to do now was cross central park. He looked up to the sky and smiled, it was a rather nice night again. Then he heard a person scream, that was New York for ya. Some had to do some stupid to ruin a night like this. He lets out a sigh and decides to investigate what was going on. He saw a woman mounted on a man. "Oops." He said quietly, thinking they were lovers, until he noticed that there was a bit to much struggling involved.
Well it could me they like it that one or there was a mugging in process. He rolled out his shoulder and readied him self for a possible fight. "What a pain. I lothe fighing so much..." He walked over casually pushing the woman aside for a second and smashed his fist into the man's throat. Npt killing his but forcing him to pass out.
"I hope I made the right decision in knocking him out. I don't like to fig--" He looked into the girl's eyes. It was Maya from Boston! But why was she here? His face was gave her a calm and easygoing look. But his eyes widened for a second to show her his surprise of her being here. He felt a little disgusted in see her again and yet it was a warm surprise. "Maya?" He asked with a soft voice. "Why are you here? This part of the city is a very dangerous place at night."

Emily was walking around Manhattan, picking out land marks she remembered, wondering if Dr. Strange still lived in Greenwich place, but she really wasn't ready to find out just yet. Instead she decided to head to central Par before she caught the train back to Bayville.
When she got to the park she heard a loud 'hey' and looked around to make sure no one was heading her way. This place was supposed to be more dangerous in this time than her own. When she saw a man run passed her she was about to go after him when saw a tall native american girl pass her in hot pursuit of the man. Just after that an asian man passed, then hit the other guy. Emily sighed. "What the hell are you all doing?" She asked walking towards them, hands in her jacket pockets. She probably should have just left them to their fight but she didn't figure they would be good at handling the cops at this rate.

Maya was just about to punch her thief when someone gently pushed her away. "What the eff!?" Maya shouted and was just about to punch this new Knight in Shining Armor, but he his looked at her with a recognition she couldn't ignore.
"Hiro?" Maya grinned, while toning her agression down a bit. She was utterly confused by the entire situation. Her mind told her to calm down and grin at the aquaintance she'd met at the aquarium, while her body wanted to burn off some extra adrenaline.
"What are you, oh right you live here? Well I was out for a nice walk in the park, when this guy..." she said while lightly nudging him with her boot. " And I can take care of myself. Its not like he had a chance anyway. she grinned.
Maya looked over at the new comer, "This ass jumped me and stole my purse." Maya knelt down and picked up her purse. It was a good thing she liked to carry bags with a sturdy handle.

The young man tilted his head slightly. "I apologize, I saw it the other way around. If I had known I would of let you continue with your own...'Justice'." He said softly. "Yes, I do live around here."
Before he could say another voice quickly cuts him off. He glances over keeping the calm look on his face, then puts his hands in his pockets. "Yare, yare. Now that I know you are safe. I am no longer... Needed." He lets out a soft sigh, he looked over the other woman. He didn't like the fact that there were roo people he didn't know talking to him. He already had trust issues to begin with.
"Well, if you need anything. You have my number." He said being polite as he began to walk off.

Solaris looked the young man who was leaving over. "Well, I'm assuming you knew him." She said looking at the native american girl.
The girl must have been pretty tough- or at least thought she was if she was going to take on that mugger. "Needless to say, we need to get rid of that unconscious guy... maybe we should drop him off at the police station with a note saying what he did?" Emily wondered if he'd have seen the girl and boys faces.

Maya ran over to Hiro and put her hand on his shoulder to get his attention. "Thank you for helping me Hiro. I really appreciate it." she said with a smile as she gave him a small hug. Maya didn't want to keep him from leaving if he really wanted to go. But after their friendly chat in Boston, she thought it would be best not to make it a habit of beind saved by him in the park at night.
Maya looked over at the other girl and gave her a weak smile. "Hi, yeah that sounds like the best idea. Not sure how to bring him all the way over to the station. I don't have a car or even a bike. Do you mind helping me?" she asked the total stranger and Hiro. Maya then looked at the girl's face and wondered if it was wrong for her to ask that favor. After all she just met these too, in a way, and thought it would have crossed a line.
"That is if you want to." she added with a shrug.

Just what he needed a pity hug. Why did every one have have to look down on him? There was nothing he hated more than pity. At least this how he was feeling. Maybe she was sincere for him helping her. Bah, she could of handle it without his help. She was doing what most women would do boast a man's ego, get him to like them, then afterwords complicate things. Or so he read. He returns her smile with another. "Don't mention it. I would do that for anyone in trouble." He said calmly as softly as he could, so he wouldn't offend her, he removed her hands from the embrace of the two. For some reason he had a soft spot for her but disliked her at the same time. So strangely he was a bit more sentimental to her than most people. Unlike his easy-going but straight foreword self.
He proved how emotionless he could really be when he sees the man tried to get away. He turned away and pulled on the man's jacket and slammed him back down. Then whispered in his ear so that Maya and the other woman couldn't hear. "You dare steal from a deaf woman? And try to get away? You and the criminals like you disgust me. Dare I even say it....I actually hate you all." Before the man could scream, the young mutant pulled the man's head up by his hair and pressed his finger on the pressure point on the back of the man's head and let out an invisible small jolt into his brain two scramble with the impluses knocking the man out instantly and disable the use of his arms and legs for several days so he may suffer and atone himself in jail.
The young man slowly stood up and turned his head to look at the two woman. A smile was inscribed on his face. "Dear me, looked like I scared him to the point of passing out. Yes, I would love to help being as I involved myself." He placed his hands in his pockets thinking about how much stronger he was getting, both as a human fighter and a mutant. 'There will be a day when justice will be served.'

, but nobody else seemed to give it much consideration as Lorna looked about while walking. But the moment Hiro's voice spoke, she recognized it and stood silent for just a moment, just long enough for the male to finish his rambling. " Hiro.," she interjected, voice oozing with disdain and abuse. Nothing sounded sweeter than to speak a subject's name, then watch their reaction. Of course, the Asian was hell bound aboard a train named honor, and that made him most unpleasant to Lorna. Lorna Lehnsherr had never met the man who called himself Byakurai, but she had heard all about him from her father, and others on Genosha. To meet him outside of the island Utopia was, to say the least, a set of fortunate - or unfortunate - events. " Who is...," she paused, eyes glancing over and studying the woman with a stern look. " ... this?" Lorna had no time for nonsense, and if this woman was that or a waste of time, the Genoshan princess would stomp her out.[/ul]

(Posting out of turn sorry)
He hears his name be called out, he could help but flinch for a second. The woman's voice tone was full of disdain and superiority over him. He slightly turned his head to glance where the called out from. He began to wonder who she was and what she wanted, and how the hell she knew his name. The young man kept his cool and calm face. He looks at Maya for a moment and turns stepping in front of her to protect her. Though he made it look like he was just taking a step foreword.
Something about this woman, made him feel a sense of uneasiness. And instead of the warm and welcoming smile there was a frown and somewhat dark look on his face. He hated to be judgmental but the woman who stood before him just made him feel extremely on edge. To the point where he clenched his fist in his pockets. It could of be the atmosphere that was made before.
A girl he somewhat disliked appears, a mugger, and another woman appearing. Not to mention it is night and they are in the slum side of new york. The whole thing put the young man on edge.
"Well, who are you?" He said his voice calm and secure. "This is a girl, I just helped. She was being mugged so I wanted to help."

The Native American teen was just about to run after him-her feet poised and ready- but stopped when she saw that Hiro had made it to him instead. Maya rested her heels on the ground and watched as the guy passed out like a rag doll. Something in her muscles kenw that he didn't just pass out in fear. Maya now knew what pressure point Hiro used. It was something that she never thought she would need, but her ability made sure she took in all that information from Hiro's muscle movement. Her powers never lied to her eyes. Hiro had some bad ass ninja skills.
"What was that?" she asked taking a step back from Hiro. Something within her knew that he wasn't the normal human guy she thought he was. Before she could get an answer, a woman with green hair walked up to them. Something about her, Maya didn't like. She seemed dangerous and somewhat of a bitch.
Maya clenched her fist, but looked surprised that Hiro stepped forward to address this woman. Well that made Maya a little uneasy. She didn't like his response, but it was apparent that Hiro wanted to be her knight in shining armor. Maya wouldn't stop him, but she wanted to know what this woman wanted. The green haired woman didn't look very friendly or in the mood to chat.

," she asked, tone thick with emphasis and warning. If this little lightning lad stepped out of line, she would slap him down so hard and fast he'd swear it was done by a rhino driving a semi-truck with rocket propelled boosters in warp drive. Right hand slowing rising as if to strike, Polaris intricately loosened her gloved fingers to make a sort of dancing motion, like a puppeteer beckoning his stringed creations. " Who am I?," the woman snorted, a second time, as a humming sound filled the air and streams of flickering streams snaked across her flesh, including that wicked smile. Rak, rak, rak~!" I'm your superior, for one." Lorna wasted no time letting Hiro know what she was to him; but a name was sought and so Polaris gave him one. " Lorna... Lorna Lehnsherr.," she said, emphasizing the last name to reveal to the male who she was. Rak, rak, rak~!Lowering her hand, the humming sound and light streams died down until, finally, they were but a distant memory. Finished with her introduction, Lorna's right hand returned to her side, though ready to lash out if necessary. " That man there," she mentioned, bringing the conversation back towards the mugger. " you claim he was a mugger, but all I see is someone using their gifts to an unfair advantage." Yeah Polaris came off as a bitch, but she wasn't really. She just tended to point things out, and if that made her one, so be it. The eldest daughter of Genosha could deal with such accusations, it only made Polaris stronger. Oh, and Maya. Polaris knew she was there, but didn't see much of a reason to address her... yet.[/ul]

Hearing her words, he slowly lowers his head. She was the daughter of Magneto? And she was a superior he couldn't really do much now. He could face up against her. The young man could get in trouble with her dad. And that was a big 'no'.
He watched as she revealed her powers. It gave him a amious feeling, like she was about to strike. He scuffed quietly preparing himself for a fight. Only for her to make those lights disappear.
"Well, my gift of anatomy and martial arts do make a dangerous combo." He said softly. How could she truly tell if he used his actual powers? Chances are none unless she was a telepath or something.
"Though..." He tilts his head slightly at an angle and rubs his neck. "I really don't like to fight. But under the current circumstances, I was in before I had no choice. But now that I had full information, aggression wasn't truly need do to the fact the girl had him on the ropes. But there is always a chance that a mugger is carrying a concealed weapon."
He raised his hood his put a shadow over his eyes. He looks back at Echo so she knows what he was about to say. "It's late, since I am no longer needed and/or wanted I will take my leave." Last thing he wanted was picking a fight, not because he feared her, he just did want to fight with his boss's daughter.

Maya was beyond confused. She tried to watch the strange woman speak, but was caught off guard by her impressive display of power. Possibly a forcefield of some type. Maya had learned a few things about other mutant's powers from Ms. Frost during a few of their training sessions. The Hellion stood there, her fists still clenched, watching this confrontation.
When Hiro told her that he wanted to leave, she nodded, "Thanks Hiro." Maya wished that she could get out of here too. She didn't want to be around here anymore- it was getting dangerous. However it was slightly unsettling to learn that Hiro was a mutant. He had some gift and was apparently in the Brotherhood. Maya knew of the Brotherhood, Magento and his Genosha. Emma had spoken about him and his cause. It disgusted her that their subjects had to explain their actions to superiors. Maya could never live in Genosha, it was like a padded room she had no freedom in. Echo liked being under Ms. Frost's wing- even if she was a little vain.
"Well I'm just going to head out too. I've got a train to catch." she said while making her way to leave. Somehow, Maya knew that Lorna wouldnt let her leave that easily.

Right hand, once more, summoning the particles of electro-magnetic energy from within and around, Lorna conducted a symphony of gestures. Never blinking, she continued to watch the male and female, facial expression dead as a door nail with seriousness, as her powers surged. Finally... " Hold it!" Surely the woman would not respond, being deaf and all. Lorna did not know she was deaf, just like she did not know Hiro had used his powers or not on the mugger. It was just a speculated guess, though in the former the Genoshan princess believed it to be outright defiance. Krrrrr-Riiiiiiin~!Electro-magnetism a go, Polaris used her ability to pluck a nearby lamp post from its bolted roots. For several moments it remained, hovering in the air with a spectacular stillness, a sign of Lorna's precise skill and hard work to maintain her powers. Then, without much more than a simple 'hmph, the eldest Lehnsherr bent it and like a tentacle extension of her own limbs, proceeded to coil around the pole around the unconscious man. Krrrr-Errrt~!Securing the mugger and lifting him six feet into the air, Polaris took a few steps in the two's direction, those thick 'brows narrowed and lips curved downward into a disapproving smirk. " Answers, now.," she spit out, like a serpent drooling with venom. If the two of them did not want to answer Lorna's questions, she had no problem crushing this man and leaving the blame on the Hellion. Hiro, despite his act of chivalry, was still in the Brotherhood. But if he didn't get back in line, Polaris wouldn't grant him a second chance at acting right. " Hiro, what brings you to New York?," she asked, then gaze returning to Maya, she presented a question to her. " And you, what is your name?" Daddy would be proud.[/ul]
