," she replied, now deciding to turn around and face Maya. For Lorna Lehnsherr to actually give someone this much of her time, it meant something and Echo would do damn well to cherish it. " What is," she continued, " difficult is making it happen. You can tell the people you're working on it, it is coming, and that sacrifices must be made, but it merely delays the revolution. My father does have good intentions, though his actions divide the same community he seeks to unite, and it is these actions upon which I ask your opinion. Is, or is not, my father proper for attacking an American warship?" Emma really needed to teach her kids the finer etiquette of life, and perhaps stop flirtatiously drowning herself in fine wine and ugly men. But despite this negative impression imposed upon Lorna, she could see a shining star within Maya, a star that grew more radiant with each passing moment... ... if only that God forsaken wench didn't have such a stranglehold on the Hellion, then perhaps plans could be set into motion, cursed Polaris inside her skull. " Society must hate, that is how it survives. Rome and Carthage, Europeans and Huns, Chinese and Japanese, capitalists and communists. Without this hate, a collective group or government cannot thrive, for it does not unite the people towards a goal.," she spoke, obviously releasing a well financed education upon the two here with her. " The moment this hate vanishes, chaos begins and the people make their beloved leaders the hated in order to have a purpose. This cycle is barbaric, ruthless, and unproductive towards a peaceful co-existence." Polaris could have mentioned Charles Xavier and Emma Frost too, and how their facilities merely divided mutant kind. Idealism, beliefs, justice, honor, all of these things while good alone where wedded to corruption, and it was this that Lorna sought to eradicate so that society may live freely. But to do so, she had to push those around her, challenge their conditions, and break them down only to build them back up into true individuals... ... nobody could begin to realize the depth and complexity that rummaged through the eldest Lehnsherr's head, and probably nobody ever would. Her talents to block out telepaths attested to that, as well as being capable of appearing one thing while being another. Ironically she had her father to thank for that, and taking just a breath's moment, she did thank him with a slowly formed smirk. " As a minority we should seek equality, not protection. To do so incites special privileges, which in turn oppresses others who are not like us. It is not the flesh that forbids this knowledge, it is the mind; the people's attitudes must experience change, and not their being. An idea, strangely enough, can be shared by human and mutant alike, while genetics are not." Looking once more towards Hiro, Polaris was rather unsettled by his silence. He just stood there, listening, and contributing nothing. That was going to change, and it did so the moment Lorna launched a stream of electro-magnetic energy at the male's feet. Krr-Shzzzk~!"Stop standing there, be useful and inform our company here of your own opinions.," she snapped. Not angrily or with superiority, but like a mother wanting it's fledgling to take flight. " Unless you lack the spine necessary to call yourself a man, speak up." Lorna awaited Emma's product, curious to her retort.[/ul]

The young man stood still and silently, his back turned to the both of them. Not making a sound so Polaris and Maya can have their little talk. He kept his face almost emotionless the entire time, that was until Maya mentioning living in peace with humans like any minority. That could mean mutants might just get wiped out after all. Throughout history the 'majority' killed minories and treated them indifferently. This made him feel almost disgusted. True, it wasn't as bad as it use to be. But history tended to repeat itself, this time with mutants.
At least the Mutants would have a stronghold and 'haven' when the tension broke out to violence. Lord Magneto was prepared for war, that was certain. After hearing Polaris shoot back about the American warship, it was purely defensive. Magneto would never of attacked if they never sent the sentiels to destory the haven of mutants that was Genosha. Mutants never struck humans nor have they ever wished for pain and yet the were met with hostilies. Evenutally, they would of been to far, but the humans, edged the wrong group of them.
He closed his eyes not noticing Polaris eyeing him, he kept himself still. He felt heat from the bottom of his feet, it was somewhat electrical and the power felt small. Nothing he could just absorb and empower himself with. He miscalulated....The surge streamed into his body and it messed with his powers for a moment. It made his power scramble all over his body. Such, power...From a lowly wake up call like that? No, Polaris was powerful this was true and he greatly underestimated her. The power did empower him it also disrupt his own.
As the small surges continued through out his body, many hit his heart which caused it to increase the rate of blood flow in his body. This forced the calm and strong willed young man to fall one knee and cough up some blood. Amazingly it didn't just burst like any heart would, this could be due to the X-gene DNA build up of the 'empowered human' or what Magneto liked to call, 'homo-superior'. Out of reflexes, which were also faster than normal. He place his hand over where his heart is suppose to be. The pain he was feeling currently was but extreme and somewhat enlightening.
The green from her pulse attack mixed with his blue/white lightning. Sparks of it circled around his body, appearing and disappearing. It would be cool if he wasn't in so much pain currently. He refrained from speaking to keep himself from screaming, last thing he wanted was to be seen as a lunatic screaming in the park. After another few minutes his heart finally stablized and hid body getting used to the rate of the blood flow. Now, he felt....Pretty good. He does a few hard blinks, his vision was better, and even his eyes color changed from brown to the color of his lightning. Though it slowly was turning back to brown.
He stands spitting out the last of the blood in his mouth then wiped it off with a hand. He turns to look at Polaris, his eyes still white blue, slowly turning back to brown. "I apologize, Milady.....But I have nothing to speak of at this moment. Actually..." He looks over at Maya so she can see what he is saying. Trying to keep her deaf secret a secret, being the person he was. "Maya, sometime one has to reach out. Just talking and arguing, won't change how anyone feels about....Us."

Maya listened patiently as Polaris spoke of the different Utopias. Something about this converstaion seemed like it was about to turn into a political debate and Maya did not care for anything of the sorts. Poltics were the death of her. But what was her personal opinion, that was what Lorna was asking about.
Honestly... Maya thought that Magneto was right in what he did. He was provoked and retaliated. Simple as that. Some would argue that a true utopia didn't need an army, but Maya knew that violence was needed to keep the peace. Even though she was very gentile person, the girl was very good at hand to hand. There were plenty of examples where she used intimidation and some form of physical retalliation to prevent an even greater fight.
"An eye for an eye, right?'' Maya said simply. She didn't need to explain her reasoning, unless it was demanded of her.
The girl turned to Hiro and took his words into consideration. Communication was the key, but action spoke louder than words.
"You don't need to tell me that. All people do is understand what they see. I could tell them that we are wonderful people and won't cause any trouble, but when they see us on the news or anything that the media twists. Its clear as say to them and they understand."

more to her abilities than anyone thought, save perhaps her own family. Polaris, if she willed it, could kill Byakurai right here and now, and without him even knowing it. Such was the power of the beast, yet the melody of intellectualism soothed it. Maya spoke, and it was a fair enough response considering all Lorna had previously said. However it did spark curiosity in the green-haired woman's mind, so much Lorna was forced to speak up in question yet again. " You agree, or so you say. But remain with a facility that partakes in nothing but mindless doctrine, why?," she asked, wanting to know how someone like Maya could stick it out with Emma Frost, someone who didn't even take action. " Exactly.," she said to Maya's response to Hiro, even giving an approving nod. " And the Hellions take none, they sit like lambs hoping another will go in their place to be slaughtered. Xavier is only different in that he trains to subdue, never kill. You cannot allow enemies of my father's caliber to remain if you seek to establish your dreams, they will kill you as you should have them." Of course Polaris was not suggesting the killing of others, just pointing out the fallacy in Charles Xavier's logic. For Emma, well, she didn't have to go into detail, and even if she did, the Hellion would most likely retreat further into a defensive shell. Damn youthful pride, Lorna thought. It was more troublesome than it was worth, but enough of that, it was time to make a conclusion to this little debate. " Tell me Maya, what good will waiting on others to fix the problem do? You're far too capable of providing aid, perhaps a solution to the dilemma we experience now." Spotting Hiro, she merely shook her head. The more Byakurai tried, the less useful he became.[/ul]

This was feeling was getting rather annoying. So he sat down cross legged next to the woman with the bad attitude. The woman had absolutely NO compassion for her underlings. As a a superior she should at least care that he coughed up blood. She didn't even flinch, then he remembers that he swore is loyalty to Magneto. Regardless of how he felt he had an obilgation to obey her, no matter what. He took a quick breather from the incredible blow, which made him think. Why the hell would she strike him?
Then again neither did Maya. There wasn't even a look of worry, the two were heartless and only focused on the task at hand. That was something he was getting used to. It was something he NEEDED to get used to in order to keep his place.
After all he listen her every word. He remained silent until spoken to, as all underlings do. He didn't speak out of turn, and he never raised a hand against her. Using the hood and his hand to hide the angered look on his face. After a moment of calming down, he listened to Maya words. When the young man was about to respond, Polaris yet again, spoke beore he could. Polaris' recuiting method for Maya was a terrible stand point. Yes, it was more than likey the truth, but most are too afraid to accept it. With that in mind, he still doesn't make a sound.
He glanced over at Polaris, his eyes hidden in his hood. He spots her shaking her head. The young let out a sigh, Polaris couldn't see a loyal fighter if it hit her in the face, continuously. She was strong but also didn't have much military prowess. He did, well read up on many books on it about military tactics and psychology. He stand up once more, and looked in Polaris' eyes and studied her behavior patterns. At the moment she was calm, but is easily irratible. He might have to wrap things up if things get too...Troublesome.

Maya didn't like to think that the Hellions did nothing but sit on their asses. That wasnt' true, she chose to go there because she was meant to learn how to use her abilities. Saving the world came right after that.
"I am capaple of fending for myself, but not for others yet. That is why I am attending the Academy." she said, as truthfully as she could. Echo would like to know more about her power, unlock the secrets to then. That was what Emma promised her and assured her that Maya could leave whenever she wanted or deemed necessary. Right now, Maya loved living there. It was the home she never had.
"I would like to learn the most productive ways to help our kind before than starting off as an amateur. " she said, treating her responses as a bomb squad would. Maya's only focus was getting back to her school un harmed. That was more than enough incentive to make her cold and distant. The mask she'd wore when dealing with others.
"I hate to disrupt you, but I think I am expected home soon. You see we have a curfew and if I'm not back in time..." she said thinking of what she'd actually get punished with. Maya had never broken any rules before.

," she said, tempted to also say Maya didn't know what she needed, but that was cliche at this point. Besides, pushing the girl wouldn't benefit the Mistress of Magnetism or her ambitions, so backing off what little force she'd used was immediately achieved. " I'll have Hiro here escort you home then, as an official assignment from me. It is the least I can do, considering the hour and potential danger. As for the pick-pocketing man here, leave them be, the police will do with him as they see fit." But before Lorna turned to vanish, the Genosha princess had one last thing to put out there, something to make Echo think... " If Emma fails to aid you in your quest for knowledge, to know what and how your powers function and can, seek me out. I'm not difficult to find, and would be capable to teach you the lessons not included in a controlled classroom." If Echo was interested, she'd ask how to get in touch. If not, a simple refusal would suffice and that would be that... at least for now. " And if that frostbitten female demands punishment, you inform her Polaris kept you."[/ul]

"Yes Milady."
He said calmly. A simple mission, the attention was off him which was good. Though inside he didn't really wish to do this, honestly Echo can take care of herself. Not to mention, with every words she makes it made him want to choke something. But he wouldn't really go as far as that. He shivers slightly from the new power he had just gained. It was something he had to get used to.
Until finally, he turns to face Maya. The majority of his face hidden by the shadow of his hood. He walks over hoping she would just ask him not a accopany her. Then again Polaris might just force it on her or something. Man, he hated to be in the middle. Especially when it is between two women, it was so....Troublesome and rather annoying. Though he never actually complains about it.
"Let's go." He said calmly, his hands still in pockets.

Maya smiled at Polaris merely out of polietness. "Thank you. " Echo was curious to know if Polaris could help her better understand her abilities than Emma. If she really doubted her headmistress's ability, Maya would eventually find her. Now she didn't want to think about betraying her team.
Maya turned to Hiro and gave him a neutral look as she walked off with him to the train station. Just as they were a little bit away from where they were she said, "Don't worry about taking me home. I can take care of myself."
With that Maya walked the rest of the way to the station and made it home in perfect condition.
