Really, now? Lilija could not believe it, every time she went somewhere this song would begin blaring, as if to taunt and remind her. Now all that was needed was for someone to appear, saying how she looked just like Lady Gaga. Oh it was bound to happen, and she braced herself for it, but in the meantime she could scope out the place for any particular persons of interest. " Great..."[/ul]

He need out. The young man had been at the school for only a short time but he needed out. He wasn't used to a boarding school, especially when he was living in his own hometown. So he got dressed up for a night out on the town. He just needed a damn break.
He left his hair, non slicked back so this bangs hung just above his eyes, in that rakish and charming way. He slid on a pair of black slacks, with a deep blue, slick button up shirt. The song sharped dressed man could be heard in the back ground. Once satisfied with his appearance he made his way out to one of his favorite clubs. He slid right past the doorman, handing off a hundred dollar bill as he went.
Chance didn't dance to the song yet, no sense in dancing until he found a partner. Lady Gaga playing once again, he wonderd if she owned stock in the club. Blue eyes scanned the crowd, dismissing the regulars. Then he saw her, kind of hard not to since she looked so much like the lady singing right now. He made a mental note, not to bring that. Quietly he slid up behind her. "You look lost, need some help?" He knew when and when not to use the cheesy lines. She looked like she could do some damage to some things he didn't want damaged.

," she mumbled, hearing a voice to the rear of her. Yep, already it had begun to happen and in a new record time. Though this one sounded a bit more, tolerable. " Lost? Never.," she corrected the man, never turning to look at him but instead out onto the dance floor. " I don't do lost, though if offered the right incentives, I could say to hell with the 'not getting' part." There, honesty. But to make sure things were clear, the blond offered one more piece of information. " My name's Lilija, not baby, sugar, or hot stuff contrary to what most guys think."[/ul]

A brow arched up when she didn't even turn around. The young man just shook his head and chuckled a bit to himself. This was going to be interesting. "Just being friendly." Whoa, he just got here and hadn't even flirted, and he was getting the cold... back. "I wouldn't have dreamed of calling you anything but by your name. I'm Chance." That wasn't true he probably would have called her something if she hadn't offered her name. "Care to dance, or do you not do dancing either?" There was a slight bit of amusement in his voice as he stepped from behind her and looked out to the floor. A few girls waved at him and he waved back. Gotta love the regulars.

," she quipped. " But like with most things, a few ground rules have to be set. You do understand, a pretty girl like me gets tired of the same ol' pigs. Precautions, they're needed at this point in the night." Back home, men were still men but they tended to be a tad bit more respectful. Boring it made them, yes, but also more bearable in comparison to those in industrialized societies. New York and Boston being two amongst hundreds, Lilija realized as she turned to face the stranger. " Okay, Chance. We can dance, but don't expect anything spectacular.," she smirked. " I'm not in the business for that, unless the pay is good." Lilija just glanced at the waving flock of females, it seemed this fellow was popular. Whatever, it didn't bother her enough to warrant a fit of rage.[/ul]

Chance's head tilted to the side and was very much 'paying attention' to what she had to say. It was just he really didn't come here for a lecture and it wasn't like he was hard up. There were plenty of girls who would dance with him, or whatever else he might want to do. Which usually wasn't what they were hoping for. So, the young man just shrugged, her loss if she wanted it to be. "Would have been understandable, had I come up and called you 'baby'. All I did was ask if you were lost, and not even as the beginning of a cheesy pick up line. But hey, you want to go to jump the gun, no sweat of my brow. I didn't come here to get laid, I came here to relax." Chance really wasn't a one night stand kind of guy, even if he had a few in the past. He was a male, he couldn't always say no.
All he did was arch an eyebrow as he started to wonder if it was really worth it. Well she was new and he already knew what the other girls would be doing. Chance gave the woman a smile and crooked his arm for her to take if she so wished to. "As I said, I'm not here for anything other than some relaxation and some fun. So, shall we?" He hoped he wasn't going to regret this.

," she said before moving to his side. " No talking, it wastes valuable dance time." No way was she going to get a scolding, nor would she even allow the opportunity for one. " Come on, Chance, was it? Lets move." Making her way to the dance floor, Lilija swayed and moved with the music. Not too hard, since everyone else was either too drunk or sexually focused to judge another's dance moves. Lilija could have stood still and been applauded for best dance moves ever, one thing she found particularly sad but fortunate about dance clubs.[/ul]

At least they are agreeing to put the back and forth behind them. Maybe this could turn out to be a decent night after all. "Let's dance and yes, it's Chance, Lilija." He led her out to the dance floor and started to move with her. "How about this, I don't do anything to disrespect you, and we see if maybe we can make a decent night out of this. It's nice seeing a new face around this place." He kept dancing with her as blue eyes scanned the crowd. There were some guys around here that he couldn't trust with his worst enemy, but he had feeling the woman with him could handle herself. His attention came back to her since he didn't want her to think that he was checking out other girls. He already knew what most of them were like, he didn't have to look.

," she told Chance. " I just have to be defensive, since coming here a lot of the males sink below the evolutionary chart with me." If anything was to dislike about her time since leaving Iceland, it was the male population. A lot of them, too many in fact, especially when intoxicated were total pigs and Lilija found it frustratingly amusing. " You seem all right, just don't disappoint me, and I'll accept your deal." Still dancing, Lilija could only take glimpses around her to view what was going on. Nothing out of the ordinary, unless Chance knew something she didn't. Probably did, he seemed to be a regular to these types of places, while she was not. " How long you been coming here?," she asked, all that on Lilija's mind.[/ul]

A small smile touched his lips at her comments. "Lilija, we sink below the evolutionary chart whenever a beautiful woman comes into range. We can't control ourselves, some are just better at hiding it. But in our heads we suddenly revert back to, 'Ugh, ugh, she pretty'. It's in our genetic make up." He was teasing her but he knew he wasn't too far from the truth. He nodded when she laid down her terms. "Just remember, I'm a guy so I might not realize that I'm disappointing. Well, let's be honest, it's probably a guarantee I won't notice." He said all this with a grin letting her know he was just teasing her and hoping she didn't get ticked.
The young man looked around and then back at his companion. "A few years. I can tell you who the regulars are, which ones to look out for, which drinks to buy and which ones to avoid. I can also assure you, that you never want to leave your drink unattended, if you know what I mean." He shook his head, he may do a lot of things but he would never spike a girl's drink or force himself on a girl. "May I ask where you are from?"

," she said, still moving with the music. " Lets just focus on you." Chance had already done so, offering his services about this club and its respective contents. Intrigued, Lilija decided to take him up on the offer. " Okay, Chance. Enlighten me." " A little village in Iceland, nothing special."[/ul]

Contrary to popular belief, the young man did have self control. At least she hadn't slapped him or anything yet, that had to be a good sign. Her amusement didn't escape him either, and that intrigued him. He was actually, for once, being honest.
As they dance he looked down at her. "What would you like to know? Just be warned anything I say may come out sounding like a singles add, but then don't first meetings usually end up that way?" He could just hear it now... Hi, my name is Chance, I'm seventeen, I like flirting and spending money..... Yeah that was a real turn on there. Oh and he mustn't forget the ability to summon animals. Not that he'd tell her that much.
Chance nodded and pointed to a group of guys. "Be careful of them, they work as a team. One guy will take in interest in a girl, one or two of his buddies will give her grief and he'll come in and 'rescue' her. Don't order anything that has rum unless you don't mind the really cheap stuff. The groupies, that's what I call the girls who are here regularly, can get really jealous, so watch out for that. They tend to look at the male regulars as 'theirs'." That was really only the tip of it, but she should be alright as long as it looked like she was here with someone.
He smiled when she said she was from Iceland. "Boston myself, born and raised." She didn't ask but it was only polite to offer.

," she quickly responded to his question, having no fear or resistant to information. Knowledge was power, and power got you places. Lilija knew that universal truth like the back of her own hand. " Oh, so they are what you would call wing men." Lilija knew her terms, though her first hand experience with such things was limited. Not only due to where she lived, but more so due to not allowing such situations to develop. " And these girls," she continued. " are what you could consider total bitches, yes?" Lilija knew. " Boston is very lively. Is it always like this?"[/ul]

Chance looked down at her and grinned a bit. "Then perhaps you will allow me to buy you a drink? They aren't too keen on age restrictions here. One of the reasons I come here." His head dipped a bit to look at her to see if she was interested in a drink and sitting down to talk.
The young man chuckled. "Something like a wingman yeah." He'd just leave it at that since he was pretty sure they were worse than any wing man he'd ever seen. More like set ups, but hey. "More like money hungry whores, but they can be total bitches yes." He thought about her question and shrugged. "Actually, this is a bit of a slow night. So, yeah if this is lively then pretty much." He figured if they decided to sit he'd ask her about herself as well as tell her a bit about himself.

" Lilija wasn't about to turn down a free drink. Though her trust was slightly higher for Chance than anyone else she'd since met outside Genosha, it was still to be questioned. " But let me make sure I don't blink, right?," she chided, jokingly of course with the warning the male had given her moments ago. Not that Chance would ever do such a thing, but she had to be on her toes but friendly. Being new in town was already bad enough, but being new in town with nothing but enemies was hardest, and there was absolutely no way Corpse would go down that road. " Why do such annoying people come to these clubs?," Lilija asked, eyes never leaving the preparation of the drink she desired. " Are they individuals with nothing better to do with their lives?" Even if this was a slower than usual night, Lilija was having a pretty decent time.[/ul]
